The significant contract wins keeping Granada busy – both offshore and throughout the UK

Contracts awarded over the last few months mean that Granada’s team will be delivering on some major orders for the rest of 2020 and through into the New Year, across all areas of the business.

Granada’s diverse product range and the company’s reputation for quality and service has seen them win multiple onshore contracts which the installation team will be completing over the next few months. Crane and gantry packages include cranes from 3.2 tonnes up to 10 tonnes, with freestanding gantries of various lengths. Each package is specified according to customers’ needs and will be used in industries from power generation to motorhome manufacture – making full use of Granada’s breadth of expertise and installation experience.

Granada’s reputation for bespoke handling solutions has led to further contract wins, which will now see the installation team delivering combinations of vacuum lifting equipment and manipulators for a range of industries including aerospace, construction, heating product manufacturing and the plastics industry. This builds on Granada’s bespoke lifting expertise which saw them design, deliver and install lifting and handling equipment for Dunphy Combustion’s new 50,000 sq.ft research centre earlier in 2020, and enhances and contributes to Granada’s extensive portfolio which includes automotive, pharmaceutical, aerospace and manufacturing clients, from SME to blue-chip.

In the offshore sector, Granada have seen continued growth, securing more davit and long term service contracts, including two further davits for the Hollandse Kust Zuid project, 11 davits for Hywind Tampen and two units for a UK substation project.

Mark Sidwell, managing director at GMH, reflects,
“In what are tough times in the UK and globally, I’m truly pleased that the commitment of all Granada’s staff is reflected in the continued confidence our customers have, across all sectors. The current pandemic means that we are all operating in uncertain times. At the start of this year, our international growth strategy and success was recognised through our inclusion in the Sunday Times’ International Track list of firms with the fastest-growing international trade. I’m delighted to know that this strategy is still working and the contract wins – both offshore and onshore – are testament to Granada’s products, staff and reputation.”
