UK plastics company

A leading plastics injection moulding company in West Yorkshire had a requirement for larger injection moulding machines and associated equipment.

The company came to Granada for a 40 tonne SWL crane that had a span of 25 metres and 60 metres of free standing gantry. The crane system was designed in conjunction with the civil engineers responsible for building alterations i.e. lifting the building roof to accommodate the new machine and crane whilst still keeping the increased height to a minimum.

The crane is a double girder unit having an SWF hoist unit and travel machinery. All motions have smooth acceleration and deceleration to prevent load swing. The crane has a radio control system with a standard pendant cable as back-up.
